Happy Sabbath

I hope for you a most blessed Sabbath as we find our rest in Him who loves us more than we can ever know. I hope for you the peace that comes only from knowing Him and that you will come to trust Him with who you are now and with who you shall be. I want to encourage you this weekend to turn your eyes to Jesus.

Enjoy Celtic Woman as they sing "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring".

Sleepwalking Christians!?!

You will find several places in the New Testament where Paul addresses Christians as a corporate entity or as inviduals being asleep. What does this mean? It certainly doesn't mean we are all slumbering and getting plenty of rest and it doesn't mean we have all passed away. So what does it mean to be a Christian who is asleep.

I draw much of this sermon from the parable Jesus told of the 10 virgins. Jesus tells us in that parable that all of the kingdom of God, the Christian church, before the coming of the Bridegroom will be in a state of sleep. I planned to do two parts to this sermon. The first part focusing on the aspect of the "sleep" and the second part focusing on the aspect of "awaking and trimming their wicks".

I hope you enjoy:

Should A Christian Pay Taxes?

Let me first say... I am Baaack! I have been on vacation so i have managed to get a little behind on the site. No problem though I will have two more sermons to post after this Sabbath and will be caught up.

Have you ever pondered the idea of not paying taxes? If you are like most people you have. This questioning becomes even more important when you may feel that the current government and you don't see eye to eye. What then? We could take the questioning a step further still. What if the current government potentially could use the money you pay them to persecute you, remove some of your liberties, or work to take away you religious freedoms? What does the bible say?

The sermon you are about to hear comes from Romans 13:6&7.
